When the paths of world-renowned Hungarian pianist, Gergely Bogányi and industrial innovator, François Bandura, founder of Mono Group, crossed - something remarkable happened. A music and an industrial sphere forged into a single more powerful force, and a new universe of piano making began.

With the engineering know-how from the Mono group and their expertise in manufacturing luxury automotive interiors, for brands like Lamborghini and Porsche, an entire new piano manufacturing facility now exists. Another miracle in our piano story. The state-of-the-art quality and expertise of Mono Group in the areas of carbon fiber, wood, aluminum and piano black complement the project perfectly.

The Bogányi piano was first successfully launched internationally from Budapest in January 2015, with much worldwide interest. Karoly Reisinger, CEO of the New York piano repair shop Klavierhaus, was "mesmerized" at a sound he said brought lyrical qualities back to the piano after a century of power-focused development. "In this design you will be able to hear the 1850-1860 era qualities, lyrical, belllike, precise – and also the modern instrument that our time is used to, which is clarity," he said. Four-time Grammy-nominated jazz pianist Gerald Clayton felt he had played a slick new type of instrument. "The sound almost feels as if you're in a bubble, it's so clear," he said. "It's a new sensation.” Now, with one more year of extensive development and research, the finished design is complete. As stated above, the Bogányi piano makes its North American debut, at the Newport Music Festival, 2016. Festival goers, journalists and invited guests can experience ‘Sound beyond time’ for themselves in the stately atmosphere of the Newport mansions. Gergely Bogányi will have two recitals, at the Breakers on July 9, 8pm and at the Elms on July 14th, 11am. There will also be a private cocktail evening on July 12th and an appearance at the Rhapsody at Rosecliff Gala Dinner on July 15th.
